Qalamy by Beckah

English and Arabic

Type in both languages and switch with one tap.

Next-letter prediction

The letter you are most likely to press next lights up and is easier to hit.

Swipe typing

Glide your finger from letter to letter, in English and in Arabic.

Islamic panel

One key opens verified Quran verses, du'as and the Hijri date, ready to put into any chat.

Our promise

  • What you type stays on your phone.
  • Nothing is sent unless you choose. A future AI key sends that text once and does not store it. A future "help improve" option, off by default, sends word counts, never text.
  • We never sell, trade, rent or share personal information: not to advertisers, not to partners, not to anyone. Beckah Foundation is a nonprofit funded by donations.
  • You can see what the keyboard learned and erase it any time.

What the app can access

  • Permissions: Two: vibrate (for key vibration), and the microphone, used only while you dictate. Your speech is turned into text on your phone and never sent anywhere. If you turn on reply ideas, Android also lets Qalamy read the newest chat message you received, on your phone only. It is never saved or sent.
  • Internet: None. The app has no internet access.
  • Account: None. There is no sign-in.
  • Ads: None.
  • Analytics: None.
  • Privacy questions: Write to info@beckah.org
