Delete Your Account

Athany by Beckah is a call-to-prayer app by Beckah Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. You can request deletion of your account and its associated data at any time. This page explains what is deleted, how to request it, and how long it takes.

What is deleted

When your deletion request is processed, we permanently remove the data tied to your account, including:

• Your account and sign-in (the phone number associated with it).
• Your profile — display name or kunya, city, photo, and, for a muathin, masjid name and details.
• Content you created in the app — masjid reviews, check-ins, and announcements.
• Your notification token and notification preferences, so you stop receiving prayer and announcement notifications.

How to request deletion

Email us from the contact address associated with your account and ask us to delete it:

Please include the phone number associated with your Athany account so we can locate and verify it. We may contact you to confirm the request before deleting.

Timeline & retention

We process account-deletion requests and remove your data within 30 days. Some records may be retained for longer where we are required to keep them by law, or in backups that are purged on a rolling schedule. Retained records are not used for any other purpose. We do not sell your personal information.
