The Bond of Brotherhood

No Muslim is forgotten — not even behind bars

Across America there are Muslims in prison: many came to Islam inside, some were born into it, and almost all are cut off from the ummah. The Bond of Brotherhood reaches them — we visit, we write, we send Qur'ans and Eid gifts, we answer the phone — and when they come home, we help them find work, community, and a mentor so they stay free and, in shaa Allah, one day lift the next person up.

The Prophet ﷺ said,

“Whoever relieves a believer's distress in this world, Allah will relieve his distress on the Day of Resurrection.”

What the program does

Inside the walls and after release — everything a brother or sister might need.

In-person visits

The heart of it — showing up so they know they are not forgotten.

Letters & pen-pals

Ongoing correspondence that keeps a heart connected to the deen.

Phone calls

Accepting and returning calls — a familiar voice on the line.

Qur'ans & books

Sending mushafs, study books, and learning material inside.

Da'wah & teaching

Answering questions and sharing the deen with sincerity.

Khutbah & talks

Giving the Jumu'ah khutbah or a short reminder where allowed.

Eid gifts

Eid gifts and allowable items so they share in the joy.

Work on release

Jobs, training, and references for returning citizens.

A place to land

Housing and support so no one returns to the old life.

Community service

Volunteering and service placements that rebuild purpose.

When they come home

Release is the most dangerous moment. We meet returning citizens at the door with halal work, a place to stay, community service, and a mentor — keeping them out of prison and walking with them until they're strong enough to mentor someone else.

We serve any Muslim who reaches for help, reverts and born-Muslims alike. We don't gatekeep faith — we walk alongside it.

Your zakat and sadaqah sustain the visits, postage, books, gifts, and reentry support.
